Exco Levi Takes Country Man Live at Sunrise!

Wednesday June 17th, 2015 - Toronto, Canada

Exco Levi, four time JUNO Award winning recording artist, will perform tracks from his new album Country Man at the Sunrise Records at Shoppers World on Thursday June 25th, 2015 at 6:30 pm to launch the franchises opening of its newest store.

Backed by his own High Priest Band, Exco will perform for shoppers and fans of music live at the music store in honor its' grand opening.  As Exco is a Brampton native, and because of his Regional contract with the outlet to make his disc available at all its stores, Exco jumped at the opportunity to musically welcome Sunrise Records to Brampton.

"When I got the call to perform for the grand opening of Sunrise in Brampton, I immediately said yes!  My album is in all of their stores across the Province so it's a blessing to perform and have it available in my home town of Brampton" said Exco from Penthouse Records in Jamaica.  "It's important that fans be able to go to a store to buy my album, and now they can do that at Sunrise Records - the biggest independent retailer of music!"

With locations that span the province of Ontario, Exco's fans are ensured ease of access to his physical disc.  All seven locations, Brantford, Burlington, Etobicoke, Barrie, London, Timmins and now Brampton have Country Man in stock.

Sunrise Records and Tapes, Canada's Independent Record Store, is one of the last full service retail outlets to sell compact discs, and have chosen to include Exco's album Country Man as a part of their product offering.  The Shoppers World (499 Main Street, Brampton) location will be a high volume store as its neighbors include Canadian Tire, Winners and Staples.

Denise Jones, Exco's manager, applauds Sunrise Records for carrying Exco's album, saying "this is another great step for Reggae.  Sunrise is showing confidence in Country Man's sales, and they're exposing fans to the music which helps grow the genre.  This is good."  Mike Peters from Pacific Music & Art, who signed Exco to a distribution deal with Warner Music Canada agreed with Denise adding "it's great that Sunrise are carrying the discs; they will also carry limited vinyl in select stores."

Exco's 19 track disc was released in March 2015 and has topped international music and Reggae charts as well as iTunes.  Fans agree that the disc is one of the best releases with some calling it one of the top 10 in the past 10 years.  The album launched to sold out shows in Toronto, North York and Ottawa, Canada, and preview Exco's West Coast and European tours.

Exco is currently in Jamaica promoting his album Country Man and participating in the Jamaican Diaspora Conference.  He returns to Toronto on Monday June 22nd, 2015.
